Why did you become a peer mentor?
Desire to help others understand the real world after rehab. It’s far different than prior expectations. Most of the previous activities are possible, just in a different way. Also, I’ve become an active PVA Board Member starting in 2022, and Peer Support is required. But more than that, I’ve seen the tremendous support for SCI and MS patients the PVA (Paralyzed Veterans of America) available, and sincerely desire to actively recruit new members.
