Reeve Foundation Honored for Best Non-Profit Campaign for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the Inaugural Anthem Awards

SHORT HILLS, NJ (March 3, 2022)

Anthem Award The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is pleased to announce that it has been named Best Non-Profit Campaign for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the Inaugural Anthem Awards for their Hope Happens Here campaign. Anthem Winners are selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by advancing innovative research and improving quality of life for individuals and families impacted by paralysis. The Hope Happens Here campaign, created to acknowledge and honor Christopher Reeve’s 25 years post-spinal cord injury, spotlighted 25 Reeve advocates, partners, and community members who have helped advance the Foundation’s mission. Stories from Meryl Streep, Ali Stroker and Nurse Linda shed light on Reeve’s revered legacy and what the Foundation’s work has meant to them personally. Reeve was an activist leader, who strongly advocated for people living with paralysis, recognizing that the true heroes in the spinal cord injured community are those living with paralysis and their families.

“It is our distinct honor to recognize the work that brands, organizations, and individuals are all making to create an impact in their community,” said Jessica Lauretti, Managing Director, The Anthem Awards. “We launched this platform to show the world that all corners of our culture, from sports and entertainment to business leaders and celebrities, are all standing up to say, it is time for systemic change and that social good is what we value as a society.”

“The Hope Happens Here campaign captured the hope and accomplishments of our community,” says Olivia Mullane, Senior Director Marketing and Communications, Reeve Foundation. “The Foundation is honored that our work was selected to receive this recognition for sharing our founders’ courage, compassion and commitment to the paralysis community, and how their efforts have inspired so many to join Reeve on our critical mission.”

The Anthem Awards was launched in response to the prevalence social good has taken within the national conversation and cultural zeitgeist in recent years. The inaugural competition received nearly 2,500 entries from 36 countries worldwide. By amplifying the voices that spark global change, the Anthem Awards are defining a new benchmark for impactful work that inspires others to take action in their communities. A portion of program revenue will fund a new grant program supporting emerging individuals and organizations working to advance the causes recognized in the inaugural Anthem Awards.
