Why did you become a peer mentor?
I was very active & athletic before my accident. I was physically & emotionally broken afterwards. The climb out of that depression was only possible due to the support I received from so many. As the doctors, nurses & therapists were attending to my physical recovery, I was fortunate to have friends, family & counselors to aid in my emotional healing. I hope to help others and share strategies I have learned.
