Why did you become a peer mentor?
The main reason I wanted to become a peer mentor is that I had my own positive experience with meeting someone else who was injured within the first few weeks of my injury. That opportunity really showed me that life does go on after SCI. I want to pay it forward by sharing my experiences as an individual with an SCI on adapting and adjusting to the new life.
