Age: 53

Location: California

Injury or relation:
Spinal cord injury, T3 for 8 years

Hobbies/Interests:
Tinkering, woodworking, shooting (guns and bows), handcycling, cooking/BBQ, and generally living life to its fullest

Why did you become a peer mentor?
My social worker recommended the program to me and I realized I would be able to help out folks that are going through the same issues and situations I experienced. I have always adapted well to ever-changing situations and I have been told many times that I have a great attitude, which has helped immensely. Coping with the change of life after a spinal cord injury can be rather daunting and if some of my experiences can help others to make the transition more smoothly, that makes being part of this program totally worth it!
