Age: 66

Location: California

Injury or relation:
C5 for 27 years

Hobbies/Interests:
I serve as the fire Chaplain for the San Luis Obispo Fire Department. I enjoy sports, coffee shops, bible studies, my 7 grandchildren, and encouraging others.

Why did you become a peer mentor?
I was mentored by several men in my community who have been long time spinal cord injury survivors. I am so thankful for how they poured into my life and encouraged me to look beyond what I was experiencing, especially when I was newly injured. Experiencing how they encouraged me and my recovery, I want to do the same for others. I am thankful for the resources
that the Reeve Foundation has made available for those with SCI.
