Handcycling
Since first emerging in the 1980s, handcycling has grown increasingly popular both as a professional sport and form of exercise. There are clear quality of life and health benefits associated with handcycling, as well as the opportunity to be physically active whether you are riding solo, with a group or team, or enjoying an outing with family members.
Handcycling has also become an elite competitive sport, included in the Paralympics and many major marathons like the TCS New York City Marathon.
Our video, created in partnership with Kennedy Krieger, goes into detail about the benefits of handcycling, and how it has evolved into one of the most popular adaptive sports for athletes and individuals at all levels.
